Landon Turns Four

Wait. What? How is my baby, the one that made me a mommy, FOUR?!?! Can I just take a minute (or ten) and cry right now?? I'm not going to even say that time flys anymore because it doesn't just fly... it goes by at a warp speed that is just too fast for this mamas heart.
Sometimes I feel like I'm missing out on too much, not doing enough with my kids. There are days where I CAN NOT WAIT until its bedtime. But then as I crawl into my bed I feel like we didn't do enough that day. I should have taken them "there", or spent more time doing "that." There are so many days that push me to my limits. But it's pretty amazing how a few sweet moments, like an out of no where "I love you mom" or a "thank you for making dinner mom" seem to make all those hard moments disappear and recharge you for what's next. It's hard to describe the whole motherhood gig without sounding bipolar or something. But it's magical and I think I'm starting to get it.

Okay okay enough about how I'm dealing with it all... now to catch you up on this little dude!

He is four! He can push every button I have but then will come give me a random hug when I need it the most, and somehow he knows when that is. He is ridiculously smart. He knows quite a bit of spanish - he'll just randomly count to 20 and listening to a four year old say "uno, dos, tres," ect might be the cutest thing ever! He loves books and loves to "read." He loves projects. He loves to build things, solve things. His imagination is sublime. He loves Blaze (hence the theme of his Birthday Party) and Paw Patrol. He recently started loving the pool. He always wants to help - with everything. And probably my most favorite thing about him is what a good brother he is. He loves his brother and sister. His relationship with Odessa is probably the most precious thing I could have ever dreamed of. Sure they have their squabbles, issues with sharing, ect. But when it comes down to watching over her, protecting her from the "big kids" on the playground - he is right there by her side. Watching the bond those two share might be my favorite thing about motherhood so far.

A Vintage Baseball Themed Baby Shower

This weekend my mother-in-law threw me the cutest "Vintage Baseball Themed" baby shower brunch. It was very small and intimate and it was oh so special. We met at this adorable nursery that also has a cafe (with some of the yummiest food EVER!) and noshed on a delicious brunch. I was surprised with a touching-as-all-get-out book that included a letter or acronym of baby boys name from each of the women in my family. So incredibly special! And the cake was beyond cute!! and D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S!!!

I can't believe we are just a few short weeks away from meeting our little guy. Still so much to do, pretty much everything! But hoping to get a lot of it done this week. I guess I'm still waiting on that burst of energy and my other two littles to lose some of theirs ;)

Odessa Turns 1 in a Winter ONE-derland!

Yesterday baby girl turned O.N.E. I am in total disbelief as I'm pretty sure I was bringing her home from the hospital only a few short months ago. This last year has flown by and time shows no signs of slowing down. Yesterday we invited our friends and family over to celebrate our girl in a "Winter ONE-derland" themed party. There was lots of white and pink and lots of sweet details. Odessa was definitely the princess and had everyone in awe with how sweet she is. I had so much fun planning and prepping for her day! Thank you to everyone that helped with putting the party together and everyone who came that made her day oh so special!

At twelve months Odessa is eating pretty much anything you give her. She has four teeth. She says hello, bye-bye, night-night, high five, all done, mama, dada and a handful of other words that you can barely make out. She is pulling herself up on everything, rearranging any furniture that she can push around. She loves to laugh and giggle and has the most infectious smile. She's an ahhhmazing sleeper! And is overall just a happy, healthy and easy going baby (errr little girl)!

Coming Into the Third Trimester

That whole cute idea I had, the one with the weekly chalk boards (of which I think I nailed every week with Landon's pregnancy and came in strong with Odessa's pregnancy given I was sick the whole) has completely gone by the wayside. I have no idea where my time goes. Some of these days with a three and a half year old and a week shy of a one year old seem like bedtime will never come. But the weeks, the months, and now the year have flown by.
I can't even say we're busy with anything exciting. Just busy with keeping those precious being out of danger and keeping smiles on their faces. They can drive me crazy but I sure do love them!!
I feel like I blinked and am coming into the third trimester. This pregnancy hasn't been as easy as Landon's but has been SO much better than Odessa's. I don't feel sick as long as I remember to take my diclegis. I am tired but still manage to get through the day on a whopping one serving of caffeine... amazing! I miss my wine like crazy but soon enough I'll be partaking in wine drinking obsession soon enough.
So much is happening in the next couple of weeks/months. Odessa will be ONE in ONE week!!! WHAT?!?! I'm pretty sure I had her like four months ago. The party is just about done being prepped for and I can't wait to share pictures from her day!
And I promise I'll try and post as many updates as I can in these last few months before we are officially a family of five!

Pumpkin Patch Playtime

Yesterday we were all finally feeling a bit better. So we wiped our runny noses and headed to our local pumpkin patch. Not only does it have pumpkins - but play areas, mazes made from bails of hay, farm animals to feed and train rides too! Of course Landon was in heaven and didn't want to leave. But we played our (his) hearts out, picked out a couple of cute pumpkins and home we went. :)

It happened!

As I was watching hell freeze over and pigs fly my little boy stood patiently and gave me the best smile!! This is a rarity these days and the fact that it happened in my husbands jacket, of course Landon loves anything fireman and firetruck, just makes it all the better!
We are all still sick with horrible head colds so my afternoon will be spent in the kitchen making my homemade from scratch chicken noodle soup. Hopefully that helps us all feel better soon as I would love to get out to the pumpkin patch with the kiddos. Not to mention we have our gender reveal party this coming Sunday!! I can not wait!!!
Hope you all enjoyed the weekend and your week is off to a great start!

Sick Days...

Everyone in our house is officially sick. With no energy to participate in any of the Halloween activities, nor do we want to scare anyone with the creepy goo coming from our noses, we spent the day at home doing not much of anything. Odessa woke up from her morning nap and was in a great mood so I put together a make-shift studio in my office and snapped a couple of cute pictures. Then came this image. Sometimes I can barely handle her and all her cuteness! Especially for not feeling 100%. I miss the days where I could get Landon to sit still for a picture! Maybe tomorrow :)
